Credit Card Credit Cards are a good way to pay for stuff because they sometimes offer you rewards such as free airline miles or something like that and they also automatically get you at least 30 days to pay for what you get. BE CAREFUL, though. They are also a good way for you to get buried in such debt that you didn't expect on worthless stuff that you wouldn't buy if you knew how much it really costs you. That $50 dinner that you paid for 5 years ago that you still haven't paid off is accruing at 20% a year. If you put a thousand dollars on your credit card and get charged 20% per year, after 10 years of this, that $1000 is now over $7000. That $50 dinner you went out for has now cost you $350.
